The Communications Coordinator helps to improve Azura’s competitive position and enhances member awareness for the Credit Union’s products and services. In support of the Credit Union’s mission and vision, the Communications Coordinator participates in planning, development and execution of the marketing department’s tactics in support of its overall goals and objectives.

- Develop and execute communication plans to support organizational goals
- Create and distribute engaging content across various platforms, including social media, website, and newsletters
- Conduct research on industry trends and competitors to inform communication strategies
- Manage social media accounts, including creating and scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and responding to comments
- Coordinate media relations activities, including drafting press releases and pitching stories to journalists
- Assist in organizing and promoting events, such as conferences, webinars, and workshops
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and brand identity
- Monitor and analyze communication metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field
- Proven experience in public relations, communications, or a similar role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in social media management platforms and tools
- Familiarity with media relations practices and techniques
- Excellent research skills with the ability to gather information from various sources
- Ability to write, edit, and proofread content for accuracy and style
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders
- Experience in event planning and coordination is a plus
